Developing your personal brand
Our latest event held on 24 January offered a number of really useful tips for making our way in the daunting world of business development. We had conversations about creating our personal brands, how to face networking opportunities and preparing an elevator pitch, so attendees left with tools and ideas about building their own client and contact base and taking opportunities to be involved in business development in our firms.
Part of the issue with proactively assisting in developing our firms’ business opportunities is that it is scary, and it can be easier to keep a low profile, especially in a junior role where we can hide behind focusing on our day to day work. I came across the attached article, on a website called findmywhy.com, which offers some simple solutions to getting stuck in. The focus of the article is on personal growth within your firm, but the same concepts apply outside of that arena.
Have a read and hope you find it useful!
